The sections of „MoGoLo“ (Mobility of Goods and Logistics Systems) are dealing with the different transport systems road, rail, inland waterway, waterway and air such as the sustainable dimensions of goods movement.

The online module includes three basic sections „Global Supply Chain, and Logistics“, „Conceptual System Model of Transport and Traffic“ and "Sustainable Dimensions in Goods Movement". The five sections for the different transport systems road, rail, inland waterway, waterway and air can be studied either in the order of the overview chart or in a self-determined order. In order to enease the understanding of the online module, you can download a list of abbreviations and a glossary with some further definitions.
Learning objectives
After completing the MoGoLo module, learners should
- know the basics of global supply chains and important logistics definitions.
- have developed an understanding of transport systems.
- know the road, rail, inland waterway, maritime and air transport systems, the goods transported and the vehicles/vessels, infrastructure and facilities used.
- be able to assess the impact of transport activities on the environment.
- be able to name the advantages and disadvantages of each transport alternative.
- explain the three pillars of sustainability in goods movement.
Learning method
All learning opportunities follow the structure of the conceptual system model for transport and traffic. Interactive H5P elements and quiz questions support the teaching of the learning content and encourage learners to review their own learning process.
