What to expect

 

 

RUVIVAL produces e-learning material concerned with sustainable rural development. The project exists since 2016 as part of the Hamburg Open Online University (HOOU). You can expect an interactive learning experience that will enable you to apply sustainable practices.

 

 

Learning objectives

The aim is to spread knowledge on sustainable practices. This e-learning project gives you the tools to implement sustainable practices in the area of sanitation, water and soil conservation.

Learning method

The multimedia lectures are designed as virtual classrooms in which learners can take part in lectures given by guest lecturers. During the lectures, learners have the opportunity to test their knowledge with quiz questions. The topics of the lectures usually have a broader relevance and are closely interwoven. This provides extensive knowledge on various topics in the field of rural sustainable development.

 

This is supplemented with practical tools, videos and a literature review for a more comprehensive insight into the topic, as well as a quiz to test your own knowledge on the subject. In addition, each lesson contains a variety of other tools such as calculators, instructions and manuals that are relevant to the topic.

Back to the Roots: Gesunde Böden regenerieren Wasser
Agrarflächen degradieren zunehmend und verlieren u.a. ihre natürliche Filterfunktion. Dadurch ist die Qualität und Quantität des Grundwassers stark beeinträchtigt. Wie können wir diesen Trend umkehren? Das Lernangebot verfolgt das Ziel, effektive Maßnahmen (Zwischenfrucht, konservierende Bodenbearbeitung und Verbesserung der Bodenbiologie) vorzustellen, die die LandwirtInnen, GärtnerInnen und die Öffentlichkeit auf ihren Feldern und in ihren Gärten umsetzen können, um die Boden- und Grundwasserqualität sowie die Grundwassermenge zu steigern. Hiermit leisten Sie auch einen Beitrag zur Klimafolgenanpassung.
