Feedstocks for Biofuel Production

Feedstocks for Biofuel Production

Link zur englischen Version

Various renewable raw materials from agriculture and forestry are available as feedstocks for biofuel production. Due to the different chemical properties of these materials, they require different conversion processes. Many of the feedstocks discussed below are already widely cultivated today. However, after considering other uses (such as their current use in food production), the actual remaining quantity available for biofuel production is much lower. Therefore, different types of "potential" are distinguished based on various conditions (as defined by Roth et al. 2018).
