SyncSuite

Abschlussbedingungen

Hi, I'm Agustín, a composer and programmer working with technology, video, sound, lights and movement. Often my works would feature live musicians on stage, electronic sounds coming from speakers, videos on several screens and lights changing with the music, and everything has to happen at exactly the right moment. That's the fun part, and also the tricky part! Over the years, I've run into lots of little technical surprises: a video starting a second too late, a digital score that wouldn't turn the page, a computer that suddenly lost its connection to the others just before the show. Every time something like this happened, I built a small tool to make sure it wouldn't happen again. Little by little, these helpers grew into SyncSuite: a toolbox that keeps all the parts of a performance working together, so artists can focus on the art instead of the cables.

In this course, I'd like to share these tools with you. To get the most out of it, you should already feel comfortable with Ableton Live, the music software SyncSuite works with. Some experience with Max is a nice bonus, but not a must. If that sounds like you, SyncSuite can help you bring sound, images and technology together on stage, in an installation or at an event.

Here you can download a ZIP file with everything you need to get started: the software, example projects, media files and a manual. Please note that the version offered here in the ZIP file is v0.0.2 and it will not be updated. SyncSuite requires versions of Max 9 and Live 12 and some features are only available for MacOs.

If you'd like the newest version, you can always find it in the official SyncSuite repository on GitHub, where the project keeps growing.
