Alexander Riedmüller
Alexander Riedmüller studied Music and Movement Education/Eurhythmics at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and Musicology at the University of Vienna and the University of Music and Theatre Franz Liszt Weimar. He also completed a master's degree in Cultural Diversity at the Universidad de Tres de Febrero in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and in exchange with the Free University of Berlin.
From 2018 to 2021, he was coordinator of the additional qualification ‘Elementary Music Practice International’ (EMI) at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre for immigrant musicians and daycare professionals, a third-party funded project of the Federal Initiative Innovative University. During this time, he also worked as a lecturer in the ‘Elementary Music Education’ (EMP) programme.
From 2021 to 2024, he headed the EMP department at the Leo Kestenberg Music School in Berlin Tempelhof-Schöneberg. He is currently a research assistant in the MusiGeNuM project at the FRANZ LISZT University of Music in Weimar and a freelance lecturer at various universities.
For many years, he worked nationally and internationally as a trainer and workshop leader in the field of German as a foreign language in the field of ‘music, movement, language’. Artistically, he is interested in interdisciplinary improvisation formats that combine music, movement/dance and theatre. He is also a clarinettist and body musician. www.rhythmiker.de
