A fiber can be produced from wood using various conversion steps, from which soft and flowing fabrics can be woven.

The fiber is called viscose, but is now also available on the market under various brand names and is used to produce a wide range of products, such as textiles or hygiene and cosmetic products (such as tampons, diapers or handkerchiefs), but also for the production of composite materials or special papers, such as for banknotes.
